How does Counselling Work
What happens in the first session?
The first meeting is to explore your needs and whether we can work together.
During this initial session we will also discuss the way we will work together.
What happens next?
We will agree the best way forward and this could be fixed short-term sessions to focus on a specific area of concern or longer open-ended sessions.
Sessions where possible, are held weekly, and last 50 minutes.
During these sessions a good relationship will be built to lead the way to personal change and growth. At times this can be challenging, painful, overwhelming and extremely rewarding.
I offer appointments during the week and at weekends, both daytime and evenings.
Counselling is a commitment to yourself and attending sessions regularly will enable you to benefit from your counselling.
